| Asif to romance Priya Mani in his next film |
When it comes to love, age is just a number. The success of Premam this year captured once again that progressive mind-set of the Malayali audience, who are not averse to themes that have guys romancing older women. Director Ravikumar is now gearing up for his next movie Silent Radio, which has a similar thread.
The film has Asif Ali and Priya Mani in the lead, he informs. "Asif plays a radio mechanic. He's an introvert, who prefers minimum contact with the outside world. But that changes when a woman (Priya Mani) who is older than him by five years enters his life and they form a beautiful friendship," says the Ishtam scribe.
On Priya Mani's character, Ravikumar explains, "She plays a medical transcriptionist. Her character has a mystery behind it, which gets unravelled as the movie progresses." The movie is scripted by Ravikumar and his brother MK Padmakumar.
The actress' last Malayalam movie was the Jayaram-starrer Njangalude Veettile Athidhikal. Asif is currently shooting for Anuraga Karikkin Vellam and has a schedule of Adventures of Omanakuttan left. Filming of Silent Radio is scheduled to begin by January first week with Fort Kochi and Rameshwaram as the main locations.
